The Flying Eagles’ logo tells the story of a wounded eagle who is ministered back to health by one stronger than he, and eventually takes to the air again and conquers his domain. It is our desire that God’s people will work toward the success of Kingdom initiatives by likewise ministering to our wounded and helping them return to spiritual duty.
In 1994 as part of the FEM Community Outreach Ministry, the Clothes Closet was created, providing much-needed services to the often forgotten members of our communities. A needs-driven initiative extending to recently discharged inmates and others in the community as well, it includes clothing give-a-ways, food distribution, housing referrals, drug abuse counseling and/or referrals, intercessory prayers, and grief counseling.
In 1996, the Prison Ministry was birthed. In response to the ever-increasing inmate population in our communities, the FEM provides support to women and men incarcerated. Weekly visitations are conducted in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel Country and Towson Detention Centers, providing spiritual counseling, parenting counseling, and mentoring sessions in small group settings.
In April 1997, the Prayer Train was launched. This is our signature project where faithful and committed prayer warriors make the spiritual connection in the pre-dawn hours interceding on behalf of our families, friends, churches, politicians, and any special prayer requests
In 1998, the Deliverance Ministries were created to minister to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the suffering. These ministries include counseling, intercessory prayer, laying-on of hands, and special needs ministry.
Since 2001 Youth Alive has provided a Christian alternative to juvenile delinquency, street violence, and truant behavior among our youth between the ages of 4-18. Structured, adult supervised activities include youth workshops, Bible-based teaching in classroom settings, after-school activities, music ministry, dance ministry, creative arts, and the healthy exchange of ideas among youth.
In April 2009 the FEM Worship Center became a reality. We are not your usual ministry, but rather a refreshing breath of a new anointing for this new day. In addition to our worship services, Bible studies, seminars, training/teaching, workshops, leadership sessions, intercessory prayers vigils, and other religious-based activities are provided for whosoever will come.
In 2010, The Master’s Touch was officially established with this trade name. However, God gave Pastor Edwards the vision for this ministry in 2005. The purpose of the Master’s Touch is to cultivate a unique unity through Christian fellowship among various local, national, and international church entities.
